The Future Connectivity Solutions (FCS) is an engineering arm of Future Electronics’ Advanced Engineering Group focused on assisting customer engineers design in wireless solutions across a wide range of applications. The Regional Sales Managers role will use their technical expertise to build relationships and trust with customer engineers to support them in the wireless hardware selection and qualification of their projects and support their designs to production. While the local Future Sales and FAE teams will be partnered with the RSM to drive customer engagement, it is expected that the RSM is taking ownership of the success in winning the business for their specific technology.
You will be involved with the development of customer presentations, strategic supplier product introductions, technical sales training for both customers, and the Future branch teams within your region. This shall be done via direct customer interaction during in person meetings, trainings created and led by the RSM, introductions through our suppliers, and various other forums. You will work with the FCS Specialist FAE to develop and execute successful demand creation programs for customers and strategic suppliers within your assigned region.
Responsibilities
Provide support as well as early system solution consultation to end customers providing design guidance and troubleshooting/debug/issue resolution. Throughout the customer’s design & development phases. Provide a clear and concise working partnership with the Specialist FAE to ensure that customer projects are handed off or transitioned in a crisp and fluid manner. Provide training and direction on new technology to branch sales teams with varying technical knowledge in a fashion to maximize the team’s overall efficiency and ROI for demand creation activity. Demand Creation program will measured via an MBO program that is set up to promote growth in Billings, Approved Registrations, Design and Production wins. Execute programs to strengthen and leverage our customer and manufacturer relationships. Support franchise maintenance and acquisition through initiatives such as market wide or customer site seminars and trainings, technical sales programs and technical marketing programs. Properly prep the potential long-term software/firmware tasks for specific experts within FCS Team. Meets regional sales billing objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual/quarterly budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of national objectives. Maintains and expands customer base by counseling branch representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks. Qualifications and Experience
Education and Experience 2-5 years of experience in at least two of the following technologies: Wi-Fi hardware/firmware sales and or design Bluetooth hardware/firmware sales and or design Cellular hardware/firmware sales and or design 802.15.4 Open source or Proprietary hardware/firmware sales and or design Communication Skills Possess a proven ability to effectively communicate with customers and peers through verbal, written and presentation skills. Organizational Skills Possesses a strong ability to prioritize tasks in order to maximize productivity and performance. Adherence to deadlines and commitments is critical. Drive multiple branch and suppliers within a region Maintain a records of board list of customers for multiple technologies, customers and suppliers Effectively recognize good and bad business opportunities Effectively help manage AE’s time and workload(s) by properly qualifying each opportunity that FCS chooses adopt. Leadership Skills The RSM is responsible for driving many diverse programs with the Regional FCS AE, Branch SAM’s and Generalist FAE’s team(s), customers and suppliers. Therefore, the ability to motivate others is a critical skill set. Strong ability to keep multiple teams of people from various companies on task to maximize our end goal which is the growth in Billings. Benefits
