Provide skilled, compassionate patient care and coordinate care plans. Collaborate with patients, families and the health‑care team. Deliver patient‑centered care in a holistic manner and respect diversity. Use effective communication, teamwork and clinical decision‑making to achieve optimal outcomes. Conduct health assessments and formulate individualized care plans. Advocate for patients’ rights and resolve issues to ensure quality outcomes. Coordinate care across disciplines and ensure effective transitions. Document patient care activities and assist team members. Evaluate care processes and adjust plans based on patient progress. Make clinical decisions based on data, experience and intuition. Foster cooperation and respect among clinical disciplines. Guide staff in assessing patient learning needs and outcomes. Serve as a clinical resource, preceptor, mentor and supervise patient care activities. Utilize care delivery standards, integrating communication, technology and collaboration. Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain continuing education records. Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and evaluate clinical outcomes. Minimum Qualifications

BSN from an accredited nursing program. If RN has an ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. 1 year of RN experience in a critical care unit or completion of a critical care fellowship. BLS certification required upon start; AHA BLS. For critical care units: ACLS within 6 months. For pediatric units: PALS within 6 months. For infusion units: obtain chemo card within 3 months. Licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse or active multi‑state RN license. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Two years of recent (within the past year) RN experience on an inpatient postpartum unit. Proficiency in Epic electronic health record.
