Chief Financial Officer
Location: Glen Burnie, MD
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience
We are seeking a hands‑on, technically strong financial leader to oversee the accounting and finance operations for a long‑established construction and defense contracting company working on important federal projects. Candidates should have strong CFO experience, but we are also open to a Controller who is willing to be groomed into the CFO role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial strategy, budgeting, and long‑term planning across multiple divisions, including marine construction, defense contracting, and engineering.
Oversee consolidated accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Partner with external accounting firms on year‑end processes, audits, and compliance.
Build reporting frameworks and ensure accurate job cost, project financials, and divisional performance metrics.
Collaborate across departments and support leadership with clear financial guidance.
Foster a culture that values mission‑driven work, teamwork, and integrity.
Qualifications
Must have a strong background in federal regulations and DOD requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
Strong foundation in core accounting principles and hands‑on leadership.
Multi‑division environments and creating consolidated financial statements.
Strategic thinker who executes tactically and within a collaborative culture.
