Part-Time Controller for Nonprofit Organizations
Your Part‑Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a national leader in providing outsourced accounting services to nonprofit organizations. As a Part‑Time Controller, you will guide nonprofit clients through financial transformation, strategic decision making, and compliance excellence.
Responsibilities
Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients, transforming their financial departments to meet mission objectives.
Produce financial reporting for management and board decision making, including presentations and analysis.
Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures.
Handle transactional activities: accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, billing, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintain workpapers.
Perform budgeting, forecasting, and data visualization.
Manage grant allocations, funding reports, and related reporting to funders.
Prepare for and oversee the annual audit.
Provide client and staff training opportunities.
Qualifications
Passionate about working in or supporting nonprofit organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5–7+ years of accounting experience, preferably with nonprofits or public accounting.
Experience working remotely is preferred.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with QuickBooks and electronic bill‑pay systems.
Ability to manage multiple clients independently and respond promptly.
CPA certification is a plus.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
