Key Responsibilities

Review daily cash receipt deposits to resident management ledgers and reconcile them to community cash accounts. Work with the accounts payable department to process bi‑weekly invoice approvals and check runs for timely vendor payments.

Complete monthly financial reporting packages by established deadlines for external investors and internal corporate reporting requirements.

Reconcile all bank accounts and balance sheet accounts for each community within the assigned portfolio on a monthly basis.

Prepare monthly facility management fee calculations based on facility management agreements.

Audit and ensure accuracy of resident rent rolls and aged delinquency (A/R aging) reports for assigned portfolios.

Manage, analyze, and audit resident accounts to ensure correct billing each month for all rental and additional charges per lease, investigate discrepancies, and process refunds for resident move‑outs in a timely manner.

Collaborate with community Executive Directors and/or asset managers to calculate and reflect monthly accruals, including payroll, ensuring accurate expense reporting.

Assist in developing annual business plans for each community and analyze actual-to-budget variances on a monthly basis.

Prepare annual, quarterly, and/or monthly debt compliance reports as required under community‑level debt agreements.

Set up depreciation, amortization, and personal property schedules in FAS (Fixed Asset Reporting module) and reconcile them to the balance sheet each month.

Prepare cash reconciliations and cash forecasts for each community as needed.

Respond to and resolve issues and requests from investors, asset managers, and community personnel.

Create and document all accounting processes and procedures related to ESL communities.

Assist with miscellaneous accounting tasks, ad‑hoc projects, and other duties as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance – Required

Experience

2+ years senior living or similar accounting experience – Required

1+ year experience with Timberline, MRI, or Yardi – Preferred

Benefits

Compensation: $70,000‑$90,000/year

Eligible for discretionary benefits: performance bonus target
