Position Overview This adjunct faculty position teaches online Environmental Science credit courses for MDC Online.
What you will be doing
Facilitate student learning in online courses
Manage online courses through the LMS and its tools
Interact with students online via discussion, chat, and email at least three times a week
Evaluate and advise students
Provide feedback on the course to course developers
Participate in departmental and college affairs
Perform other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
Master’s degree in Environmental Science; or a Master’s degree in a natural science with at least 9 graduate semester hours in environmental‑related science or engineering courses (e.g., Atmospheric Sciences, Botany, Earth Science, Ecology, Environmental Biology, Environmental Chemistry, Geosciences, Oceanography); or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Environmental Science.
Basic computer software and Internet skills
Florida resident
Obtain MDC Online Certification by successfully completing specific online training provided by the College upon hiring.
Preferences
Previous online teaching experience preferred
Additional Requirements The final candidate must successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
