$45.00/hr - $55.00/hr Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Specialist to support a growing biotechnology organization. This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure professional with strong technical depth across networking, servers, cloud, virtualization, and GxP‑compliant environments. Hybrid Schedule:
3 days onsite / 2 days remote. In this senior‑level position, you will design, implement, and support core infrastructure services across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will play a critical role ensuring that systems supporting regulated biotech operations remain secure, validated, and audit‑ready. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Core IT, Lab IT, Quality, Manufacturing IT, and external auditors. Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and support enterprise infrastructure: networking, servers, storage, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V). Administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and identity integrations. Support and secure GxP‑regulated systems in compliance with GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and ALCOA+ data integrity requirements. Manage enterprise network components including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Meraki, VLANs, VPNs, SD‑WAN, and firewalls. Maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, SaaS applications, and support validated application hosting environments. Participate in SDLC, validation documentation (URS, IQ/OQ), change control, and audit activities (FDA/EMA). Strengthen security through compliance with NIST, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001, and internal cybersecurity frameworks. Required Qualifications
5+ years in enterprise infrastructure engineering. Strong hands‑on experience with VMware/Hyper‑V. Direct experience supporting GxP systems in biotech/pharma. Solid understanding of 21 CFR Part 11, audit trails, electronic records/signatures. Experience with SDLC, validation, CAPA, change control. Preferred Certifications
CCNA / CCNP VMware VCP CISSP or Security+
