PRN Pediatric Hospitalist – AdventHealth for Children, Orlando, Florida
AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic PRN pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest for inpatient pediatric care to join our team at the Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.
Overview Prn pediatric hospitalists will work in the hospital’s medical/surgical pediatric units and be a member of the inpatient pediatric care team.
Responsibilities
Rotate with other pediatric hospitalists providing in‑house coverage within our medical/surgical pediatric units.
Perform pediatric admissions to the dedicated Pediatric Units.
Provide ED pediatric consults as needed and participate in daily family‑centered rounding.
Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers on respective pediatric units.
Partner with the Graduate Medical Education program to work with residents.
Cover all major surgical and medical sub‑specialties on site, including Liver & Kidney Transplant.
Work within a hospitalist team of over 30 physicians and APPs.
Complete rotations of days, nights and weekends.
Use EPIC EMR system.
No state income taxes.
Requirements Board Certification/Eligibility with the American Board of Pediatrics.
Location Overview The hospital is located near downtown Orlando, shopping, and reputable schools. Orlando offers world‑class attractions such as Universal Studios and Walt Disney World.
Hospital Description AdventHealth for Children’s Walt Disney Pavilion is a full‑service tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, a 30‑bed pediatric ICU, a 102‑bed NICU, a 17‑bed pediatric ED, and a statewide pediatric network. It offers comprehensive programs including a Level IV epilepsy program, bone‑marrow transplant, and solid‑organ transplant (kidney and liver).
