Hollenbeck Palms, a highly respected nonprofit CCRC serving Los Angeles for more than 135 years, is seeking an experienced and mission-driven VP/Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operations across its full continuum of care. Set on an 8-acre park-like campus, Hollenbeck Palms is home to a welcoming and vibrant community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living/RCFE, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. As a historic, resident-centered CCRC, we are committed to delivering exceptional care, meaningful engagement, and a true sense of community.
The Opportunity The VP/COO will serve as a key executive partner to the CEO and will oversee daily operations, financial performance, quality of care, regulatory compliance, and culture-building across the campus. This leader will shape strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and ensure an outstanding experience for residents and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Lead operational performance across IL, AL/RCFE, MC, and SNF
Drive strategic initiatives, innovation, and long-range planning
Oversee financial management, budgeting, occupancy, and forecasting
Ensure compliance with RCFE, SNF, and CCRC regulations
Strengthen service delivery, resident satisfaction, and quality outcomes
Coach and develop department leaders; build a positive, mission-driven culture
Ideal Candidate
RCFE and NHA/LNHA licenses REQUIRED
5+ years of senior leadership experience in a CCRC or multi-level senior living environment
Strong financial, regulatory, and operational expertise
Collaborative, communicative, and relationship-focused leadership style
Demonstrated commitment to service, ethics, and organizational excellence
