Job Description The Sales Director is directly responsible for sales, growth, customer satisfaction, and gross contributions within the assigned geographic scope and product portfolio. The role includes direct management of a sales director team and transformational leadership to identify strategic channel capability, unlock value with new and existing customers, and assess talent capabilities to meet the AOP.

Key Deliverables & Performance Indicators

Unlock value with new and existing customers and instill the behaviors within the organization, demonstrating the ability to manage the portfolio (trade up and trade out).

Exhibit talent excellence by leading high‑performing teams, outperforming expectations both directly and indirectly.

Develop a commercial strategy aligned with the BU strategy, integrating market data, competition, and trends.

Drive net sales, team performance and development, and a strong value proposition with customers.

Achievement of Sales, Growth & Contribution Objectives

Establish sales, growth, and margin targets as part of the operating plan with high accuracy.

Monitor performance against targets and coordinate corrective actions as needed.

Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to lower sales costs and maximize overall contribution.

Sales Leadership

Plan, control, and direct sales activities for maximum efficiency and contribution.

Appraise existing sales performance and direct sales programs and objectives within the region.

Ensure sales team training and talent management to maintain high performance levels.

Implement the Value Plus Commercial Excellence Program and ensure consistent delivery of “One Amcor Way.”

Provide senior management with regular business updates and course of action.

Facilitate integrated and cross‑business decisions on sales and marketing.

Leadership and People Management

Lead, develop, engage, and motivate people, ensuring career development and succession planning.

Maintain strong team performance, manage individual KPIs, and address gaps effectively.

Implement commercial excellence programs and principles with the sales team.

Model Amcor’s values in all internal and external dealings.

Strategic And/or Key Account Management

Oversee development and management of account plans for several strategic and/or global key accounts.

Build and sustain proactive relationships with key decision makers.

Define customer satisfaction KPIs for key accounts.

What We Want From You

Education: University degree in a relevant field; MBA preferred.

10+ years of progressive experience in commercial or adjacent roles in a complex industry (ideally food/healthcare packaging).

Proven leadership and management in national and regional accounts with strategies to grow top line and develop channel strategy.

Experience leading a large organization with proven strategies on talent management, succession planning, and talent assessment.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to share and engage the organization and customers.

Compensation The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $176,100 to $220,100; however, base pay offered may vary within the range $176,100 to $264,100 depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. The position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
