Director of Business Development Hartmann Young are partnered with a full-service Clinical CRO (Phase I–IV) to appoint a Director of Business Development.

The Director of Business Development drives revenue growth by securing new client partnerships, leads strategic sales activities, builds long-term relationships, and promotes the organisation’s end-to-end clinical trial capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the business development strategy across Phase I–IV clinical services.

Identify, engage, and win new client opportunities within pharma, biotech, and related sectors.

Lead proposal development, bid defence meetings, and contract negotiations.

Partner closely with operational leaders to align capabilities with client needs.

Build and maintain a strong pipeline, deliver accurate forecasting, and drive sustained revenue growth.

Represent the CRO at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Requirements

Proven business development leadership experience within a full-service clinical CRO (5+ years).

Strong understanding of Phase I–IV clinical development and outsourcing models.

Established network within pharma/biotech.

Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
