Principal Architect - Neuromorphic AI Chips Founded in 2013 we are part of a publicly traded Australian technology company that employs 75 professionals and is recognized as a pioneer in neuromorphic computing. Our primary function is the design & development of advanced AI processors that mimic the human brain, delivering ultra‑low power, real‑time intelligence at the edge. Serving industries such as defense, automotive, healthcare, and industrial IoT, our organization’s goal is to revolutionize how devices process and learn from sensory data while enabling customers to integrate IP into their own SoCs. With a recent capital raise and a demanding roster of global clients (including major military partners), we are accelerating execution on next‑generation platforms. For this Principal Architect position you will lead the design and integration of the full software stack for neuromorphic AI chips, driving innovation from compiler to debugger while managing a growing global team.

What You Will Be Doing

Architect and build the next‑generation hardware/software platform, including compiler, performance simulator, runtime, and debugger support

Lead migration and integration of legacy software into a unified, developer‑friendly ecosystem

Manage and expand a global engineering team (initially 4, scaling to 15‑20), ensuring speed of execution

Collaborate with executives, customers, and chip design partners to align technical solutions with business needs

Prepare and deliver clear technical presentations and PowerPoints to customers, stakeholders, and military clients on short notice

What You Need for this Position

10+ years of experience in hardware/software architecture with successful shipping of developer‑facing platforms

Expertise in compilers, performance simulation, runtime systems, and debugging tools

Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote, international teams across multiple regions

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business strategies and customer‑facing presentations

Background in neuromorphic computing, AI hardware, or advanced semiconductor design, with exposure to both large‑company best practices and startup‑level execution
