What You Will Do As a Senior Specialty Representative, you will be the primary customer contact, providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and helping them navigate the complex payer environment. You will implement marketing strategies, promote Amgen products, and collaborate with a District Manager to achieve territory sales goals.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.

Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.

Develop and manage accounts, customizing discussions, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.

Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze business effectiveness, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.

Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continue learning as a Senior Specialty Representative.

Demonstrate passion for our products throughout the sales cycle, building our brand while always focusing on patient service.

What We Expect Of You We are looking for a motivated individual with a blend of sales and clinical experience, who can serve patients and execute results.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in the healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.

Or Associate degree and 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience in the healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.

Or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience in the healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.

Preferred Qualifications

More than 3 years of sales, marketing, and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, or medical device/supply industries.

Product or hospital sales experience in specialties such as oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases.

Advanced influencing and relationship‑building skills focused on sales outcomes.

Local market knowledge.

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

Adaptability with core competencies: Sales Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; and Cultivating Internal and External Relationships.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $122,219 to $150,837. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
