is seeking a qualified anesthesiologist for a night float position at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, a 350‑bed teaching hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Job Description Wyckoff Heights Medical Center has been serving the Brooklyn community since 1889. The hospital currently employs 1,800 staff, partners with New York Medical College, and receives 90,500 visits annually to its pediatric and adult emergency departments.
Shifts: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 26 weeks per year.
Responsibilities
Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
Medical management of patients rendered unconscious or insensible during surgical or procedural care.
Pre‑anesthesia assessment: obtain and verify patient consent, discuss anesthetic options and risks.
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition.
Performance of clinical interventions as needed.
Requirements
M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine.
ECFMG and FLEX certification.
Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia.
Current physician license.
