The role requires judgment, basic math skills, and the ability to multitask. It’s a fun and flexible job that offers experience you’ll use for years to come.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES
Responsible for everything that happens during the shift, including cost, inventory, cash, and customer relationships.
Follow all company policies and procedures 100% of the time and set an example for crew members.
Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, scheduling, image standards, customer service, attendance, punctuality, transportation, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to the storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product and process telephone orders.
Maintain daily equipment and facility cleanliness.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Navigate delivery routes, handling adverse terrain and carrying deliveries of up to 50 lb.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / SKILLS
Perform quick and accurate math (calculator may be used).
Provide correct monetary change and demonstrate strong verbal, writing, and telephone communication.
Operate a computer or touch screen to enter orders.
Navigate maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Handle adverse weather, temperature variations, and exposure to food odors or cornmeal dust.
Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, carrying, pushing, climbing stairs, stooping, and reaching up to 72 in.
Drive deliver pizzas and perform delivery‑specific duties (e.g., flyers, door hangers).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
Frequent lifting of bulk deliveries (up to 50 lb) and placement on shelves up to 72 in.
Carrying lighter items such as large cans (3 lb 7 oz) and pizza dough trays (~12 lb).
Driving a delivery vehicle within designated routes, including multiple flights of stairs when necessary.
