The Director leads high-priority integration and transformation projects for Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH), its hospitals, and its clinical units. As a member of BILH’s internal consulting team, the Director provides advisory and project‑management support to initiatives across clinical and business domains, such as clinical program development, virtual care implementation, regulatory reporting, and process improvement.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of the Integration Management Office, the Director manages multiple projects, oversees project teams, and ensures delivery on time and on budget. The role collaborates with Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Strategy, Legal, and operational and clinical leaders throughout the system.
Primary Responsibilities
Understand and communicate integration and transformation priorities; create frameworks for assessing opportunities.
Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of high‑priority initiatives; manage project scope and anticipate risks to ensure milestones are met.
Oversee project‑management efforts, including developing structures, workplans, tools, and analyses; keep the team and leadership informed of progress and escalating risks.
Partner with Finance and stakeholders to develop financial models evaluating the impact of initiatives; ensure data‑driven decision making.
Facilitate project-related meetings and discussions, driving discovery and resolution; present recommendations to leadership with clear verbal, written, and visual communication.
Support regulatory reporting efforts, leading collection and synthesis of information across the system.
Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across BILH, including IT, HR, Finance, Strategy, Legal, Marketing & Communications, and clinical leaders.
Support system and local training in project‑management and process‑improvement methodologies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, public health, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in consulting, project management, performance/process improvement, or healthcare management.
Solid understanding of healthcare operations.
Experience managing the work of other team members.
Demonstrated skill in developing trusted business relationships and managing stakeholders at all leadership levels.
Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Experience in a large, complex healthcare organization.
Strong ability to manipulate, synthesize, and present quantitative data.
Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, ensuring collaboration and partnership.
Strong knowledge of project‑management and/or process‑improvement methodologies.
Superior ability to convey strategic, data‑driven concepts clearly and concisely.
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a startup culture characterized by creative problem‑solving, open communication, and agility.
Pay Range $140,000.00 – $175,000.00 USD (annual base salary range; actual compensation determined by seniority, education, experience, certifications, geography, and job responsibilities).
