JOB STATEMENT

The HR Generalist supports Human Resources with operations, ensuring compliance, employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Communicates HR policies and responds to employee inquiries.
  • Supports employee relations and workplace concerns.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws and organizational standards.
  • Manages recruitment, onboarding, and separation processes.
  • Administers credentialing and provider enrollment.
  • Oversees benefits, wellness programs, and leave management (FMLA, ADA, Worker's Comp)
  • Reviews payroll changes, audits timecards, and maintains HRIS records.
  • Assists with training, HR reporting, and compliance metrics.
  • Prepares employment documents and manages badge/security access.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education : Bachelor's In HR or Business Preferred.
  • Specialized Training/Certifications : PHR/SHRM-CP, a plus.
  • Experience :
    • 4+ Years in HR
    • Previous experience in FQHC/Healthcare preferred.
  • Knowledge :
    • Employment Laws (ADA, Title VII, ADEA, IRCA, FMLA);
    • HR functions including recruitment, payroll, and benefits.
  • Skills :
    • Basic Computer Literacy
    • Microsoft Office Applications
    • Attention to Detail
    • Effective Communication
    • Confidentiality
    • Fluent in Spanish, a plus.
  • Abilities :
    • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
    • Ability to sit for majority of the shift.
    • Must be able to bend or stoop.
    • Must be able to lift 20 lbs. unassisted.
    • Must have good vision (e.g, near acuity and depth perception)
  • Other :
    • Local travel may be required.
    • Must maintain immunizations & testing as required by LBUCC.
