Role Overview
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee key components of monthly accounting operations while supporting financial reporting across multiple entities. You will directly supervise a Staff Accountant and serve as a resource to more senior-level accounting staff.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise the Staff Accountant; support Senior Accountants as needed
Review journal entries and workpapers
Prepare monthly journal entries and financial statements for multiple entities
Assist with external audits and tax filings, including
Form 990s
Contribute to process improvements aimed at reducing the month-end close cycle
Support ongoing enhancements to accounting controls and workflows
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices. Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or product-based environment strongly preferred. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
