About the Role
: As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems while maintaining strict safety standards under OSHA/EPA regulations. You will also support site initiatives in EHS, PSM, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot electrical equipment, PLCs, DCS, and other control systems. • Repair pumps, valves, gearboxes, motors, and other process equipment with minimal supervision. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, documenting all work accurately. • Assist with RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and incident investigations. • Support SAP functions including spare parts, work orders, reports, and documentation. • Maintain compliance with site EHS and PSM programs; follow all plant safety policies. • Work with production/operations and understand plant equipment, processes, and Bostik/Arkema products. • Safely repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems. • Perform basic welding, millwrighting, fabrication, and blueprint/schematic reading. • Collaborate professionally with employees, vendors, and contractors. • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in all work areas. • Track performance metrics such as uptime, downtime, and mean time to failure. • Perform additional maintenance and troubleshooting duties as required.
