Part time AV Technician Salary:
$18.00 - 22.00 per hour Location:
Tampa, FL (Onsite) Schedule : Part-time, Flexible shifts, weekday & weekend availability preferred
Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Part-Time AV Technician to support meetings, conferences, and events at our premier Tampa property. As a key member of our Event Services team, you will ensure seamless setup, operation, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests and clients.
Responsibilities of the A/V Technician: Conduct pre-event walkthroughs to inspect AV setups and verify equipment functionality. Set up and test microphones, speakers, projectors, screens, and laptops for meetings and events. Connect and configure audio and video sources (HDMI, sound boards, mixers, etc.). Provide on-site AV support throughout the duration of meetings and events. Collaborate with meeting planners and hotel staff to ensure client satisfaction. Troubleshoot technical issues calmly and efficiently under pressure. Maintain organized cabling and ensure safety standards are met. Assist with inventory tracking and equipment maintenance. Preferred Experience of the A/V Technician Hands-on experience with
AV equipment setup
and operation. Familiarity with
sound systems, microphones, mixers, and audio patching . Knowledge of
screen
and
projector
configuration. Strong understanding of
cabling (HDMI, XLR, sound boards) . Ability to work independently and proactively. Calm demeanor and effective problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations. Customer service-oriented with excellent communication skills. Proficiency in English Ability to work a flexible schedule, 1-3 shifts per week
