Property Accountant

What You'll Do
Daily & Weekly Accounting
Manage daily cash reconciliation, credit card balancing, and bank deposits
Review and post daily revenue activity from PMS/POS systems (Opera, M3, NetSuite, etc.)
Process accounts payable including coding, approvals, and weekly check runs
Maintain accounts receivable: billing, payment application, and collections for group, wholesale, and corporate accounts
Reconcile house bank activity, petty cash, and cash over/short
Month-End Close
Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, payroll, and revenue adjustments
Complete account reconciliations (cash, AR/AP, prepaid, fixed assets, intercompany)
Compile monthly financials and variance analysis for ownership and management
Review P&L statements for accuracy and proper department/cost center coding
Support budget vs. actual reviews with property or regional teams
Operational & Cross-Functional Support
Partner with property leadership to interpret financial results and drive performance
Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and KPI reporting (ADR, RevPAR, occupancy, etc.)
Ensure compliance with hotel brand standards, GAAP, and internal controls
Support audits, tax filings, and year-end schedules
Build strong vendor relationships and resolve billing issues promptly
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
2-5+ years of hospitality accounting experience
(hotel, resort, or multi-property)
Strong understanding of hotel revenue streams & department-level P&Ls
Experience with hospitality systems (M3, ProfitSword, Opera, Sage Intacct, NetSuite) a plus
Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable supporting multiple properties
Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills
Salary
$85-105K
