Position Summary The Vice President of Enterprise Technology provides strategic and operational leadership across Achieva’s enterprise technology landscape, ensuring that systems, networks, and vendor-supported applications operate securely, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational goals. This leader will oversee infrastructure modernization, application lifecycle management, and integration strategies that support business strategies and growth. The VP of Enterprise Technology partners closely with the Chief Information Security Officer and Vice President of Technical Support and Facilities to ensure technology is both a stable foundation and enabler of innovation, scalability, and member trust. This role collaborates with other cross-departmental leaders to align technology initiatives with organizational goals and deliver exceptional experiences for members and employees.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute multi-year infrastructure and application modernization strategies aligned to business and growth priorities.
Partner with business units to translate strategic objectives into scalable technology capabilities.
Drive operational excellence through standardization, automation, and proactive capacity planning.
Infrastructure Oversight
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of on-prem, colocation, cloud and hybrid environments.
Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of core systems, networks, and branch technology.
Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity and data center operations.
Business Applications Management
Oversee the portfolio of vendor-based business applications (core banking, LOS, CRM).
Drive vendor management, contract negotiations, service-level agreements, and integration roadmaps.
Partner with business units to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve user adoption.
Ensure configuration, release management, and change control processes to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
Collaboration & Governance
Work closely with Cybersecurity leadership to align security controls, risk mitigation, and data protection measures.
Coordinate with the Technical Support and Facilities teams to ensure seamless operations across branch digital environments.
Contribute to enterprise architectural planning, data strategy and AI enablement initiatives.
Operational Management
Establish KPIs and performance dashboards for system uptime, incident response and application health.
Develop and mentor technical and application management teams, fostering accountability, and innovation.
Manage budgets, forecast, and capital planning.
Requirements Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (master’s preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, applications, or enterprise technology leadership.
Experience in the financial services or credit union industry strongly preferred.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA, SOC2) and vendor due diligence process.
Demonstrated experience leading cloud migrations, SaaS transitions, or core modernization efforts.
Certifications
Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent are a plus.
Project Management Certified Professional certification or equivalent experience managing enterprise technology projects.
