Position Overview
The Vice President of Enterprise Technology provides strategic and operational leadership across the organization’s technology landscape. This role ensures that systems, networks, and vendor-supported applications operate securely, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives. The VP will lead initiatives in infrastructure modernization, application lifecycle management, and integration strategies that enable growth and innovation.
This position works closely with the Chief Information Security Officer and the Vice President of Technical Support & Facilities to maintain a stable technology foundation while driving scalability and member trust. The VP will also collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to align technology priorities with organizational goals and deliver exceptional experiences for members and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute multi‑year strategies for infrastructure and application modernization aligned with business priorities.
Partner with business units to translate strategic objectives into scalable technology solutions.
Promote operational excellence through standardization, automation, and proactive capacity planning.
Infrastructure Oversight
Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of on‑premises, colocation, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of core systems, networks, and branch technology.
Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and data center operations.
Business Applications Management
Manage the portfolio of vendor‑based business applications (e.g., core banking, LOS, CRM).
Lead vendor management, contract negotiations, SLAs, and integration roadmaps.
Collaborate with business units to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve adoption.
Ensure compliance with configuration, release management, and change control standards.
Align security controls and risk mitigation strategies with Cybersecurity leadership.
Coordinate with Technical Support and Facilities teams for seamless branch technology operations.
Contribute to enterprise architecture planning, data strategy, and AI enablement initiatives.
Operational Management
Establish KPIs and dashboards for system uptime, incident response, and application health.
Mentor and develop technical and application management teams, fostering accountability and innovation.
Manage budgets, forecasting, and capital planning.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, applications, or enterprise technology leadership.
Financial services or credit union industry experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA, SOC2) and vendor due diligence.
Proven experience leading cloud migrations, SaaS transitions, or core modernization efforts.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and vendor ecosystem integrations.
PMP or equivalent project management experience preferred.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Certifications Preferred certifications include ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
