About The Arc: The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no‑fee program that assists men and women on their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. The organization values the contributions of its employees toward the maintenance and effectiveness of the programs.
About Our Retail Team: Become part of the dedicated retail team at the Salvation Army. Together we serve and impact the local community, promoting a positive shopping/donor experience and supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years previous Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
Ability to operate POS/Cash Register and schedule & supervise store employees.
Valid Driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
Effective communication with management, employees, customers and donors.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture, dollies, platform trucks and hand trucks.
Ability to operate a telephone.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Partner with the Store Manager in day‑to‑day operations and assume responsibility in the Manager’s absence.
Provide coaching, training, and development to store employees.
Maintain customer and donor relations, resolve complaints, and ensure quick, efficient service.
Coordinate daily morning and shift‑change meetings.
Supervise employee performance to ensure compliance with directives and guidelines.
Train new personnel on store policies and procedures.
Communicate personnel issues to the District Sales Manager; issue disciplinary warnings, reports, evaluations, and goals.
Complete tasks assigned by the Store Manager, District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors and Administration.
Process paperwork per Review Standards, especially Time and Attendance compliance.
Maintain store merchandising standards, adequate inventory levels, and ensure accurate “Rag Out” from the sales floor.
Ensure efficient material handling in the Back Room Processing (BRP) and donation sites.
Secure adequate change at the beginning of each day and safeguard cash in registers and safe.
Attend monthly and weekly store meetings.
Assist with safety measures, report hazards, and implement loss prevention measures.
Transfer from store to store as directed by Command Retail Directors and Administration, if necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
