We are seeking an experienced
Senior Technical Deployment Manager
to lead complex application environment delivery, release deployments, and cross‑functional troubleshooting for a large enterprise IT division. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high‑visibility technical environments, enjoys coordinating across multiple IT domains, and has a strong background in DevOps, Agile, and enterprise application operations.
You will oversee deployment planning, environment setup, environment troubleshooting, CI/CD process improvements, and Agile facilitation for major application releases. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Environment Delivery & Deployment Leadership (45%)
Lead and manage the deployment and validation of application releases and system enhancements.
Oversee planning, coordination, and delivery of new and existing environments (Dev, Test, Training, Prod).
Partner with development, DevOps, database, middleware, network, security, and operations teams to ensure on‑time environment availability.
Coordinate configurations, system updates, database updates, security adjustments, and platform changes.
Lead complex troubleshooting sessions with cross‑functional IT SMEs.
Analyze issues across hundreds of services/components; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Troubleshoot environment issues occurring in development and test environments; drive process improvements.
Mentor junior team members on troubleshooting methods and best practices.
Agile & DevSecOps Support (15%)
Support DevSecOps teams using Agile practices (Scrum Master support, backlog grooming, user stories, prioritization).
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and maintain alignment with organizational methodology and IT governance standards.
Support CI/CD pipeline development, reporting, and roadmapping.
Assign work, oversee team productivity, and cultivate a collaborative team environment.
Provide detailed reports on environment usage, CI/CD progress, deployment status, and technical recommendations.
Communicate with executive and senior management on environment readiness, risks, and strategy.
Other Responsibilities (5%)
Provide on‑call environment support (weekday, night, weekend as needed).
Perform additional duties as required to support high availability and timely project delivery.

Strong understanding of PMLC/SDLC processes.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Experience with monitoring/APM tools such as
Splunk
or
Dynatrace .
Experience with enterprise‑level deployments and environment management.
Certifications such as
PMI-ACP
or
PMP
are a strong plus.
Agile project management tools (Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc.).
APM/monitoring tools: Splunk, Dynatrace.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, or related field (degree may be substituted with equivalent experience).
Hybrid role
— onsite in Austin, TX several days per week.
Standard business hours (M–F, 8 AM to 5 PM), with additional support required occasionally during evenings/weekends.
Must complete any required background checks prior to onboarding.
