Base Pay Range
$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr
Position Overview We are a busy, well‑established law firm seeking an Accounting Specialist to support our internal accounting operations. This is a full‑time, in‑office position based in Los Angeles, California, that plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable and receivable functions, and handling day‑to‑day accounting duties.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
Vendor setup, obtain W9, process high‑volume vendor payables and client settlement disbursements.
Bank Reconciliations:
Monthly bank and balance‑sheet reconciliation.
Journal Entries:
Record recurring and ad‑hoc journal entries to support month‑end and year‑end close.
Credit Card Reconciliations:
Track, categorize, and reconcile all firm‑related credit card expenses.
Firm Charges:
Monitor and process internal firm‑related expenditures and reimbursements using Bill.com.
General Support:
Ad‑hoc projects, reporting, accounts payable and receivable processing, account reconciliation, and backup to the accounting team as directed by the CFO.
Required Qualifications
Four years’ related accounting, bookkeeping, or related field experience at a law firm or accounting firm (a plus).
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and legal practices.
Proficiency with accounting software and tools, preferably Bills.com and Quickbooks Online.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality handling financial data.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office setting.
Must be able to work full‑time, on‑site during standard business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
Familiarity with legal industry financial systems and reporting practices.
