Senior Software Engineer - Fidelity Investments
We are seeking a hardworking, Agile Senior Software Engineer to join a new team building mid‑tier and back‑end applications. As a member of the team you will create and influence innovative solutions that meet functional, performance, scalability and reliability requirements. You will work as part of a high‑functioning Scrum team, help drive the next‑generation user experience, and demonstrate end‑to‑end ownership of team commitments.
Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain applications including new developments, enhancements, and support.
• Collaborate continuously with partners, iteratively understand requirements, and follow Fidelity best practices and methodologies.
• Participate in on‑call production support on a rotation basis.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and creatively solve dynamic problems.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of practical experience.
Experience designing and developing applications on a public cloud (Azure or AWS).
Proficiency with Java, Spring, Spring Boot for building backend APIs and batch data processes.
Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, relational databases, and ETL tools such as Informatica.
Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to communicate engineering concepts.
Ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
Agile/Scrum experience is required.
Location & Workstyle Hybrid role – require onsite work every other week (M‑F) at a Fidelity office. Remote or fully onsite options are not applicable.
