Take Your Design Career to the Next Level Are you ready to be challenged, make a difference, and experience professional growth? Kleinfelder’s Design team seeks a detail‑oriented engineer to join our southeast engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Complete civil engineering designs and generate professional plans and specifications for Site Layout, Grading, Storm Drainage, Water & Sewer Utilities, Erosion and Sediment Control, Storm Water Best Management Practices, Civil 3D plans, municipal and state permitting.
Evaluate design to solve constructability, municipal code, and site challenges.
Coordinate with Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineers.
Perform site visits for job scoping and coordinate with survey crews, SUE, Geotech, etc.
Provide periodic construction support: review RFIs & Shop Drawings, field inspections.
Education & Certification
Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Skills & Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self‑starter who can work independently and with team members.
Ability to engage in multiple projects to complete successful requirement deliveries.
Ability to organize priorities and multi‑task effectively.
Pro‑actively troubleshoot and problem‑solve with practical, client‑focused solutions.
Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals.
3–8+ years of related experience in civil engineering.
Computer skills preferred: AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, MS Office.
