Our client is a well-established global life‑sciences services organisation, supporting biotech and biopharma customers with advanced genomics and sequencing solutions. As part of continued growth across North America, they are expanding their
industry sales team
and are seeking experienced
Account Managers
to own and grow key regional territories.
This is not a greenfield role – the successful hire will inherit existing accounts and work closely with internal delivery teams to expand wallet share, develop new relationships, and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Own and grow a portfolio of biotech and biopharma accounts within an assigned region
Develop and execute a regional account strategy to meet and exceed annual revenue targets
Act as the primary commercial point of contact for customers, managing relationships across multiple R&D stakeholders
Sell and position complex
NGS / genomics services
(services experience preferred; product backgrounds also considered)
Follow up on marketing-generated leads and convert opportunities into long‑term customers
Expand existing accounts while also onboarding and developing emerging biotech and SME clients
Attend national and regional conferences to build pipeline and strengthen industry presence
Collaborate closely with internal scientific, technical, and operational teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking within CRM systems
Customer Base
Top 20 pharmaceutical companies
Venture‑backed and early‑stage biopharma and biotech organisations
Multi‑stakeholder, enterprise‑level accounts across multiple R&D functions
Mix of large, long‑term strategic customers and high‑growth smaller accounts
Candidate Profile
3+ years of experience in
industry sales or account management
within life sciences
Background in
NGS, genomics, molecular biology, or related services
strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to
close, grow, and expand accounts
Existing regional biotech / biopharma network is highly advantageous
Comfortable managing large, complex projects and long sales cycles
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
Self‑directed, organised, and capable of owning a regional territory independently
