Qualifications and Requirements

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university

New Jersey Department of Education Certificate in Supervisor (0106)

Minimum of three (3) years successful experience in teaching the related content area or related experience

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate the growth and development of teachers working collaboratively with peers

Assist teachers in curriculum alignment, articulation, integration, and implementation across grade levels

Teach demonstration lessons and serve as a peer coach and mentor for staff

Provide opportunities for teachers to develop effective instructional techniques, strategies, and professional behaviors

Maintain knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards for curriculum, assessment, and instruction

Attend and participate in ongoing professional development activities

Enhance teachers’ knowledge of content and management skills

Analyze and communicate student assessment data, and make program recommendations based on data analysis

Report on the progress of program initiatives

Perform other duties consistent with specific contractual terms of employment as assigned by the Principal

Monitor implementation of the school district’s approved content program per student needs

Attend and participate in in‑service workshops

Assist classroom teachers and aides in using new technological equipment and supplementary materials

Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor

Reports To Principal

Salary, Employment Period, and Union Affiliation

Salary range: $92,000 – $128,000 (pending negotiations)

Employment period: Eleven (11) months

Union affiliation: CASA
