ADV is seeking a
Data Analyst
to support the Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ). The ideal candidate brings strong technical and analytical skills, experience working with complex datasets, and the ability to develop tools and reports that enhance federal acquisition operations.
Work Location: Washington, DC. Candidates must currently live within commuting distance of ICE/OAQ and be available for on-site meetings or support when required to be considered. This position is contingent upon contract award and Government approval of proposed personnel. All candidates must be fully vetted and accepted by DHS/ICE prior to onboarding.
The Data Analyst provides essential data management, reporting, and analytical support to OAQ. This role involves gathering, validating, organizing, and maintaining datasets that support acquisition activities, FOIA workflows, operational reporting, and decision-making. The position requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams in a federal acquisition environment.
Primary Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Management:
Receive, gather, analyze, and organize data from multiple sources and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
Ensure the completeness, quality, and accuracy of datasets.
Manage databases, documents, spreadsheets, and worksheets.
Develop and administer tracking tools to measure productivity, ensure compliance, and meet federal deadlines.
Generate reports for procurement data, requisitions, contracts, taskers, and other operational needs.
Maintain backups and version histories of datasets and reports.
Apply problem-solving techniques to manage large datasets.
Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows and contribute to ongoing process improvements in support of OAQ operations.
Ensure data, schemas, and reference data are structured so that Program Data is machine-readable, human-readable, and accessible to the Government in accordance with DHS/ICE data management and ownership requirements.
Technical Operations
Craft and execute Excel scripts and code to validate data accuracy.
Create tools and automated solutions using Excel, SharePoint, and other Microsoft platforms.
Administer mail groups, Teams channels, and access controls, including granting and removing access to channels and files as required.
Track, research, and upload contracts and solicitations.
Administrative & Coordination Support
Provide timely updates to leadership on tasker status and milestones.
Support FOIA and acquisition teams with coordinated data needs.
Maintain organization charts, calendars, schedules, and onboarding documentation.
Prepare summaries, charts, reports, and briefings.
Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as needed.
Collaborate closely with Government personnel and other contractor teams to ensure transparency, information sharing, and mission alignment.
Provide training, navigational guidance, and support to users on developed tracking tools, worksheets, and data systems.
Select and synthesize relevant information from multiple data sources to prepare accurate documents, reports, summaries, and responses to inquiries.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Candidates without a degree may qualify with six (6) years of experience in data management or data analysis.
Minimum four (4) years of experience
in data management or data analyst positions supporting a federal agency.
Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy and completeness in all work products.
U.S. citizenship and must obtain/maintain DHS/ICE Public Trust (Fitness Determination).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite , including advanced Excel functions such as scripts, formulas, and code-based validation tools.
Experience crafting and running Excel scripts and code to double-check accuracy.
Experience managing
various data formats, including those created and maintained in Microsoft Office products.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Demonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques and draw logical conclusions.
Experience developing and administering
tracking mechanisms, user tools, worksheets, and reporting tools.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with timely updates.
Excellent written, oral, analytical, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with procurement-sensitive, law-enforcement sensitive, or protected information is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Must follow OPSEC requirements in daily duties.
