Director Business Development, East Coast, United States
Directly reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the Director of Business Development facilitates the sales activities for Indero’s fast‑growing CRO Business Unit. The role includes managing key accounts, soliciting new business, and serving as a brand ambassador at industry conferences and events.
The director collaborates with senior management to define and develop future strategies for revenue growth and to execute the agreed‑upon annual sales plan. Initially, the focus is on sales activities on the East Coast of the United States.

Responsibilities Sales Cycle
Lead business development activities within your territory, including organizing client visits, capabilities presentations, meetings, direct sales, and bid defence presentations.
Communicate the company’s value proposition and service portfolio to medical key opinion leaders and prospective pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Provide sales forecasts and manage sales activity plans in the territory.
Assist in the development and assessment of new and existing business and sales strategies through communication with management and business units.
Proposals, Contracts, and Negotiations
Manage the budget and contract negotiation with study sponsors within the territory.
Coordinate legally binding contracts, including master services agreements, work orders, preferred provider agreements, and non‑disclosure agreements.
Advise management on negotiations and alignment of contracts and pricing strategies for short‑ and long‑term considerations.
Review and provide input on new project proposals and budgets issued by the proposal manager.
Visibility
Represent the company at major conventions, symposia, and industry meetings.
Promote the corporate mission, vision, and objectives, fostering a culture of professionalism, quality, excellence, and teamwork.
Strategic Development
Maintain and enhance technical knowledge of company services to support the approved business plan.
Identify and develop new service offerings, technologies, and novel models to diversify Indero’s portfolio.
Assist in developing competitive pricing strategies and leveraging Indero’s economic value to maximize operating surplus.
Employee may be assigned to other responsibilities that do not pertain to the original description if they have the required experience, are qualified, and/or have received adequate training.
Requirements Experience
At least five (5) years of experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and/or contract research organization (CRO) industry in a business management, sales, and/or marketing position.
Relevant previous experience in sales and marketing with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and fostering client relationships.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (business administration, sciences).
Master’s degree is an asset.
Knowledge and Skills
Client‑focused professional with scientific knowledge of clinical drug and device research, preferably in dermatology or immunology.
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to partner closely with clinical and business operations.
Professional demeanor, conflict management, and confidentiality maintenance.
Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, staff motivation, and team‑building skills.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑moving environment while working calmly toward solutions.
Resourceful priority setting and mastery of Microsoft Office 365.
Solid network of industry contacts, preferably in dermatology drug and device development companies.
Good knowledge of good clinical practices, applicable Health Canada, FDA regulations, and other healthcare authorities.
