Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As a Development Lead, you'll play a key role in executing the strategy and delivery of our Energy Services platform specifically development, launch, and operational management. Working closely with product managers, designers, engineers and various business teams, you'll help shape and guide the development process by keeping things organized, clear, on track and communicated effectively. The platform development lead is responsible for

overseeing the design, development, and evolution of core platforms while managing legacy systems . This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure our platform is

scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals . This position reports to the Head of Platform Business Team and Director of Product or other senior management personnel that the President of the Company may designate.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end development of platform architecture, services, and integrations

Manage and modernize legacy systems, ensuring stability while planning and executing migration strategies.

Guide and mentor a team of developers, enforcing best practices in coding, testing, and deployment

Oversee system interoperability, including APIs and integrations across legacy and new platforms

Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Oversee API frameworks and ensure interoperability across products and services

Drive platform scalability, security, and performance improvements.

Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance the platform

Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities

Document technical specifications, measure performance index by setting up the metrics

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information systems, computer science, engineering or related fields.

7-10 years of work experience (or equivalent combination of education) with a proven track record in platform or software development with leadership responsibilities

Strong expertise in backend frameworks, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), microservices, and APIs.

Hands-on experience managing, integrating, and migrating legacy systems.

Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

5+ experience in the solar or clean energy industry

5+ years of product development/management experience, especially around customer /partner facing products under Salesforce / Microsoft environment

Proficiency in development tools, GitHub/Gitlab/Jira/confluence/AWS/Azure/Docker/Kubernetes/Terraform/etc

Modern backend languages and frameworks, Testing & QA, Database & tools

Strong analytical skills (structured and data-driven approach)

Experience working with global or cross-cultural teams

Experience in ERP, CRM, Cloud or enterprise system building

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
