Program Manager – Jamaica Plain Recovery Center The Program Manager supports the Program Director in managing day‑to‑day programming. The Program Manager reports to the Program Director for support and supervision.

Location The Jamaica Plain Recovery Center is a recovery‑oriented sanctuary delivering peer‑to‑peer recovery support services in a safe, supportive healing space.

Essential Functions

Develop, with the Program Director, ongoing volunteer and peer leader recruitment, orientation and skills development.

Coordinate and develop recovery coach programming; monitor activities to ensure they meet members’ needs and the center’s objectives.

Ensure programming and activities are developed with members’ input and engagement and include multiple pathways to recovery.

Collaborate with Outreach and Engagement Specialists to provide community outreach, increase center membership, and make programming accessible and engaging.

Partner with community organizations, treatment and recovery providers, coalitions, career and employment/housing orgs, and criminal justice departments to promote the center, advocate for recovery, and link members to resources.

Work collaboratively with staff and peers to promote the shared philosophy that recovery is maintained in the community, respecting each individual’s recovery pathway.

Attend supervision with the Program Director or their designee.

Enforce all Victory Programs policies and procedures.

Ensure adequate staff coverage and provide milieu coverage as needed.

Act in accordance with Victory Programs Standards of Excellence & Philosophy Care, maintaining professional ethics, boundaries, client confidentiality and a strength‑based perspective.

Non‑Essential Functions

Attend weekly staff meetings, trainings, seminars, workshops and rallies as requested.

Represent the program(s) to the community and designated funders.

Participate and support agency events: program holiday events, State House rallies, fundraising and advocacy events, HIV/AIDS rally and walk, and other functions.

Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Demonstrated understanding and belief in the recovery process and the Recovery Oriented Systems of Care model.

Knowledge of multiple recovery support systems, including 12‑step, faith‑based groups, harm reduction services, SMART Recovery, Life Ring, and direct service provision.

Willingness to share personal experiences of living with substance use/recovery to educate and provide support.

Certified CPR (may be obtained upon hire).

Completed TB screening (may be obtained upon hire).

Three work‑related professional references; at least two from a manager or supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

Current Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) certification and completion of Recovery Coach Supervision within 6 months of hire.

Integrity, compassion and ability to foster a culture of mission, trust, respect and accountability.

Cultural awareness and competency; ability to work effectively with diverse staff and members.

Familiarity with social media platforms.

Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Position Type & Compensation Full‑time (40 hours/week) Monday–Friday 10 am–6 pm or 12 pm–8 pm; Saturdays as needed. Exempt. On‑site.

Annual salary: $58,520.
