Job Description The YMCA of Greater Montgomery is looking for a dynamic Executive Director to lead our Wetumpka Family YMCA into an exciting new chapter. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our programs and services, including fitness and wellness expansion.

Your Role as Executive Director You’ll lead a vibrant organization serving Wetumpka and Eastern Elmore County, managing an annual budget of $1M+ and guiding a diverse range of programs. You’ll be the driving force behind our mission, overseeing a team dedicated to community wellness and enrichment, and steering fitness and wellness expansion.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human services, business, social services, or equivalent.
Five or more years of professional experience in the YMCA or other nonprofit preferred.
Knowledge and experience in all aspects of operations, including staff supervision and development, successful membership practices, quality program development and implementation, volunteerism, facility and property management, and sound financial practices.
Understanding of the mission and cause of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community; track record of building authentic, constructive relationships with others.
Ability to handle multiple demands and priorities and achieve organizational objectives.
YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification preferred.
Experience in Aquatics and Youth Development preferred.
Experience in growing membership and AOA programs preferred.
Essential Functions
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to propel our YMCA forward, embracing upcoming expansions and enhancing community engagement.
Cultivate relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to expand our impact and integrate our YMCA more deeply into the community.
Guide and support a passionate team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, enthusiasm, and growth.
Oversee the delivery of diverse programs such as Afterschool, Summer Camp, Youth Sports, and Active Older Adults, ensuring they meet community needs and boost member participation.
Implement strategies for membership growth, fundraising, and program expansion, managing a $1M+ annual budget and working toward an annual campaign goal of $60,000 from 150 donors.
