Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
3 years of experience working with recommender systems and machine learning teams.
Preferred qualifications
5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
3 years of experience working on shipping consumer products or consumer features.
Experience with Machine Learning (ML) experimentation methodologies.
Excellent investigative background and proficiency in leveraging key metrics.

Shorts’ mission is to give everyone a voice and show them the world through short‑form video. We seek to provide people with a safe, entertaining, and informative feed of videos. We also aim to inspire people to create Shorts through feed recommendations, making it easy to go from watching to creating.
In this position, you will be instrumental in refining the algorithms that curate the Shorts feed for viewers to make it a satisfying and entertaining experience.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Act as the product lead responsible for managing a portfolio of Shorts Discovery products focused to drive viewer growth and creation.
Work closely with engineering and DS teams to create new methods of measurement and goals to support high quality ML algorithm optimization.
Develop and own project roadmaps with a focus on ML and recommendation systems.
Drive development and secure buy‑in for a compelling product goal that integrates machine learning and recommendation strategies to enhance the overall product narrative, achieving results greater than the sum of its parts.
Lead and harmonize processes to define, identify, collect, and track appropriate quantitative and qualitative product or business metrics, including setting up and analyzing ML experiments for new or existing products or business ventures.
