Overview 2 Hour Learning seeks a technically accomplished product leader to spearhead the modernization of our AI-driven learning ecosystem. This executive-level role combines the depth of a CTO with the strategic vision of a product leader to unlock student achievement at scale.
Responsibilities
Build deep education product expertise to inform strategic direction.
Create technical specifications that prioritize simplicity, operational efficiency, and sustainable long‑term design.
Deploy generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, minimizing manual effort.
Own the architecture, technical strategy, and AI integration across our entire learning platform.
Navigate complex technical trade‑offs to keep products lean, scalable, and outcome‑focused.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Pure people management; this role focuses on business acumen and technical judgment.
Spending excessive time in meetings or administrative overhead.
Proposing high‑level strategies without actionable implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning foundational competencies and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership.
Basic Requirements
Substantial experience or demonstrated interest in data‑driven learning science.
7+ years of experience making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects.
2+ years of experience making design decisions involving cloud computing services (primarily AWS).
4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery ownership of a revenue‑generating product.
Experience developing product features that utilize advanced generative AI capabilities.
Experience leveraging generative AI to streamline and simplify work processes.
Working with us Full‑time (40 hours per week) position requiring an independent contractor agreement with Crossover. Base pay: $200 USD per hour (≈ $400,000 per year assuming 40 hours/week and 50 weeks/year). Weekly payment. Compensation is based on skills and experience.
