AI Innovation Manager

Summary:
Fenwick seeks an innovative, results‑driven AI Innovation Manager to lead the development and implementation of AI solutions that enhance legal services and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Strategic planning: support the Director of KM&I in defining & executing AI strategy aligned with client & efficiency goals.
Technology evaluation: research, assess & recommend AI tools & emerging tech for legal workflows.
Project implementation: lead pilots, oversee integration with KM systems.
Collaboration: partner with practice groups, IT, and other departments to gather requirements & design AI‑enabled workflows.
Training & adoption: develop training programs & materials to promote effective use across the firm.
Compliance: ensure ethical, secure, compliant AI use per industry standards.
Monitoring & reporting: track usage, engagement, ROI; provide actionable insights to leadership.
Innovation: stay current with AI, ML, generative AI, NLP to keep firm at forefront of responsible technology.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
AI/ML expertise: deep understanding of AI concepts, machine learning, generative AI, NLP.
Prompt engineering: techniques for optimizing inputs to generative AI tools.
Data governance & ethics: strong grasp of privacy, security, compliance for AI in legal field.
Evaluation & testing: assess AI solutions for accuracy, bias, reliability before deployment.
Product lifecycle management: guide solutions through scoping, pilot, deployment, support.
Change management: drive adoption, overcome resistance, create enthusiasm.
Communication: explain complex AI to non‑technical stakeholders in clear, actionable terms.
Market awareness: monitor AI and legal‑tech trends to identify opportunities.
Reporting & Requirements Reports to the Director of Knowledge Management & Innovation. Minimum 5 years’ experience in AI project management, legal technology, or innovation roles with proven track record of implementing tech solutions and driving adoption. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or JD preferred.

Compensation Range:
$126,000 – $189,000 (base salary dependent on qualifications, experience, education, location).
Discretionary bonus may be available based on performance.
