Senior Staff Engineer with deep, modern expertise in
React and Python/Django to lead technical projects and mentor engineers within our ~30-person engineering organization. This is a high-impact role for a technical leader who excels at building scalable, secure systems and shaping engineering excellence. Your Mission: Architect, Build, and Elevate Our Core Platform You will be a technical leader, responsible for designing and implementing key features across our stack while raising the bar for code quality, security, and best practices across the engineering team. Key Responsibilities: Architect, build, and scale high-performance user interfaces with
modern React (hooks, Context API) and robust backend services with Python/Django REST Framework .
Make pivotal decisions on system architecture, focusing on scalability, handling race conditions, idempotency, and backpressure in distributed systems.
Uphold and evangelize best practices in secure software development (OWASP Top 10), comprehensive testing (Jest, pytest), and clean code principles (SOLID).
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, conduct rigorous code reviews, and help shape team processes within our Agile environment.
Debug complex issues, reduce technical debt, and maintain high test coverage to ensure the delivery of reliable, user-friendly applications.
Who You Are (The Ideal Candidate): 5+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with expert-level proficiency in both React and Python/Django .
A strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS , and relational databases (PostgreSQL) .
Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems , with a deep understanding of concurrency, API design, and performance optimization.
Security-focused, with a demonstrable commitment to identifying and mitigating application vulnerabilities.
A collaborative leader with excellent communication skills, comfortable mentoring peers and contributing to architectural discussions.
Bonus/Nice-to-Have: Experience with state management (Redux), cloud infrastructure (GCP, Kubernetes), messaging queues (Kafka, Pub/Sub), and modern CSS frameworks.
What We Offer: Competitive Compensation: A total target compensation package of $200,000 – $225,000 (including base salary and annual performance bonus), plus equity.
