Laboratory Technician
Location: Menlo Park, CA
Responsibilities
Execute and refine quality control (QC) workflows to ensure data integrity
Perform and optimize manual material handling and preparation steps (e.g., weighing, labeling, packaging)
Assist with inventory tracking and lab organization
Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop and document SOPs for routine lab procedures
Identify inefficiencies in manual workflows and propose or implement improvements
Support onboarding of new technicians by training them on best practices
Support development of QC and metrology protocols for new processes and instruments
Participate in test runs and validation of new labware, equipment, or experimental methods
Assist with troubleshooting equipment or process anomalies
Requirements
Not afraid to do hands‑on work (moving materials, cleaning tools, prepping batches, calibration of equipment) as part of daily routine
Ability to assemble according to instructions
Lab equipment experience
Experience running experiments
Can write pass‑downs/SOPs
Great communication skills
Self‑starter with strong attention to detail
Nice to Have Experience
Experience working with material science equipment
Mechanical/Plumbing experience preferred
Compensation The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
