Overview The build engineer will be part of the DevOps & Platform Engineering group and will support clients with the implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines, integrating security scans (SAST, DAST, OSS, and Container Scans) for cloud projects. The engineer will use their communication and influencing skills to drive standardization of the DevOps pipeline and provide guidance on secure architecture.
Responsibilities
Providing architecture, vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving on an enterprise level.
Staying consistently informed about business, infrastructure, and technical issues to contribute to the development of creative solutions.
Designing, leading, and building an automated deployment tool set and infrastructure—including environments, code management using a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process.
Taking ownership of technical aspects of software development for assigned applications.
Ensuring conformance to technical standards for programming and design techniques.
Maintaining security in accordance with Bank information security policies.
Implementing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines while integrating security scans for cloud projects.
Driving standardization of DevOps pipelines and providing guidance on secured architecture.
Communicating and influencing across the organization to build consensus and effectively lead working groups.
Qualifications
7-10 years of AWS experience delivering technology solutions in a DevOps architectural capacity.
Hands‑on experience with AWS, Terraform, GitLab, and other CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with scanning tools such as Nexus IQ, Fortify, SonarQube, Semgrep, Gymnasium, Checkov, and KICS.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and AWS services (CloudWatch, EC2, Lambda, Fargate, ECS, EKS).
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Groovy, Shell, YAML/JSON) and build tool integration across enterprise stacks (C++, Java, JavaScript, .NET).
Extensive experience with configuration, build, release management, and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as NPM, Maven, GitLab/Git.
Knowledge of installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of GitLab and artifact repositories (Nexus).
Experience reviewing vulnerability reports and integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate horizontally across IT domains and lead technical groups.
Experience with Agile tools (Jira, VersionOne/HP‑ALM).
Secrets management using AWS Secrets Manager, Systems Manager Parameter Store, and Vault.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
