to join a financial services company in San Francis­co, CA. This is a 12‑month contract with potential extensions.

Pay $70.85 – $80.85 /hr ; W2 contract, no PTO or benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Description Francisco's Information Technology Services team offers a Lead or Senior DevOps Build Engineer contracting role. The build engineer will support customers with the implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines and integrate security scans (SAST, DAST, OSS and Container Scans) for cloud projects. The hired engineer will use their communication and influencing skills and technical knowledge to drive DevOps pipeline standardization and provide guidance on secured architecture.

Responsibilities

Providing architecture, vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving on an enterprise level.

Stay consistently informed about business, infrastructure, and technical issues to contribute to the development of creative solutions.

Design, lead, and build an automated deployment tool set and infrastructure including environments, code management using a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process.

Takes ownership of technical aspects of software development for assigned applications.

Ensure conformance to technical standards for programming and design technique.

Maintain security in accordance with Bank information security policies.

Qualifications AWS shop, Gitlab, hands‑on tech skills with AWS, familiarity with Terraform, scanning tools knowledge (NexusIQ, etc.), need someone to come in and hit the ground running, cloud work has been increasing so we need someone who already has those skills.

In addition to being super technically savvy, the ideal candidate will possess:

7‑10 years of AWS experience delivering technology solutions in a DevOps architectural capacity. “Hands On” experience with significant depth around crafting, implementing, and managing critical multi‑functional components and their integration.

Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral; strong and proven interpersonal skills to include collaborate in a professional manner.

Lead working groups, negotiate, influence, and build consensus.

Proven ability to collaborate and work horizontally throughout a complex organization including exposure across IT including, infrastructure, networking, security, data management, and application development.

Proven experience implementing, integrating, and maintaining the critical infrastructure for a DevOps environment.

Knowledge of C++, Java, JavaScript and .Net technology stacks and hands‑on experience of integrating build tools and technologies across the enterprise.

Expertise working in a Linux and Windows operating systems.

Experience in coding and scripting using Python, Groovy, Shell, YAML, JSON and other scripting languages.

Extensive hands‑on experience with Configuration/Build Management, Build/Release Management, and CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as NPM, Maven and GitLab/Git.

Strong knowledge of installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of GitLab and Artifact Repos (Nexus).

Experience in preparing and reviewing vulnerability reports using security tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, Nexus IQ and GitLab native scan tools (Semgrep, Gymnasium).

Experience in setting up Checkov and KICS for IaC scans.

Experience with Visual Studio, Eclipse, IntelliJ, or any other popular IDEs.

Ability to work with APIs and plugins to integrate security tools into established CI/CD pipelines.

Experience running containerization tools (Docker) workloads in AWS Services; CloudWatch, EC2, Lambda, Fargate, ECS and/or EKS.

Secrets Management and storage using AWS Secrets Manager, Systems Manager Parameter Store and Vault.

Experience building and maintaining AWS environments using Terraform scripts and Infrastructure as Code is required.

Knowledge of Agile tools Jira, VersionOne/Client‑ALM.

Bachelor and/or master’s degree in computer science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
