Chief Financial Officer - Multifamily Owner/Operator (DFW) I’m partnered with a vertically integrated multifamily owner/operator in the DFW area that’s hiring a Chief Financial Officer to lead their finance, accounting, capital markets, and asset-level financial strategy. This is a hands‑on, highly strategic role supporting a $2B+ operating platform with an additional ~$800M under asset management.
The CFO will centralize and elevate the finance, accounting, and asset management support functions, bringing structure, visibility, and leadership across corporate finance, debt strategy, portfolio financials, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
Lead capital markets strategy, evaluate and structure debt, manage refinancing timelines
Build financial models, long‑term corporate budgets, and cash‑flow forecasts
Review and oversee tax returns, investor allocations, entity structures, and compliance
Lead and develop a team of ~13 across accounting, finance, and HR/payroll
Oversee month‑end/quarter‑end close, reporting frameworks, controls, and systems
Review property budgets, variance analyses, capex planning, and portfolio projections
Drive financial performance across ~16 multifamily assets
Prepare quarterly investor reporting packages and maintain equity/lender relationships
Provide financial insight to support hold/sell/refi decision‑making and long‑term strategy
Key Requirements
10-20+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership
Multifamily or real estate operations experience strongly preferred
Background managing both corporate and asset‑level financials
Experience with debt placement, modeling, treasury, and partnership accounting
Leadership experience managing multi‑functional teams
CPA and/or MBA preferred
DFW‑based role. Full‑time, senior leadership position.
