National Vision Inc. (America’s Best) is one of the largest optical retailers in the United States. We seek a District Manager to lead all operational and strategic activities of retail stores within a specified territory, according to National Vision Standards. The District Manager will drive profitable sales, ensure customer service excellence, and oversee store operations. Responsibilities
Drive profitable sales through effective business analytics and strategic direction. Execute the business plan, delivering desired sales and profit results with high standards of customer service. Foster a customer‑focused culture, resolving serious customer issues and training managers to meet service standards. Optimize and oversee store operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies, safety protocols and operational guidelines. Lead effective store visits focused on business analysis, associates, product presentation and process improvements. Maintain professional relations with doctors and interface as needed. Provide reports to Regional VP/Regional Director on store progress toward financial and customer service goals. Analyze reports, identify trends and potential problems, and act proactively when issues are observed. Ensure quality standards are met and work with store staff to reduce remakes. Ensure effective merchandising and execution of marketing and pricing promotions and initiatives. Ensure all visual merchandising is implemented and maintained. Keep frequent contact with store management to discuss better ways to lead and engage their teams. Ensure staffing guidelines are met; forecast staffing needs, recruit, select and retain high‑caliber staff. Assess managers to determine talent opportunities and impact on store performance. Lead, coach and mentor a team of managers toward effective collaboration and attainment of goals. Qualifications
College degree or equivalent work experience. 6+ years of retail management or operations experience. 2–4 years multi‑unit retail management or operations experience (required). 4–6 years proven experience as general manager, assistant manager or similar role in retail and/or optical industry. Experience writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Knowledge of the optical industry (required). ABO and NCLE certification preferred. Ability to travel throughout the district; $700 monthly car allowance provided with additional mileage reimbursement. Benefits
