A confidential defense contractor is seeking an experienced Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation operations within a controlled DoD environment. This role oversees government-owned materials and ensures full compliance with federal, defense, and international regulations.

This is an onsite leadership position responsible for supervising a bargaining-unit team, ensuring secure and on-time delivery of critical components, and maintaining strict adherence to all regulatory and safety requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of hourly warehouse employees; communicate shifting priorities and ensure operational readiness.

  • Oversee the secure movement, storage, and tracking of U.S. Government-owned inventory.

  • Ensure all shipments meet DFARS, Defense Transportation Regulations, ITAR, and internal compliance requirements.

  • Manage logistics activities from point of origin through end-customer delivery (domestic and international).

  • Prepare and verify shipping documents, bills of lading, quantities, part numbers, and certification records.

  • Maintain SAP or similar ERP records, including DD1149s, DD250s, and material tracking.

  • Report controlled material movements in accordance with internal and federal compliance protocols.

  • Monitor warehouse performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support other warehouse leads as needed during absences or peak activity periods.

  • Create and revise work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation.


Required Qualifications

  • VantageClear Certification or equivalent DoD Security Clearance (Secret or higher)

  • U.S. Citizenship (required for access to controlled government material)

  • Warehouse Management and Transportation/Logistics experience

  • 2+ years of demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience

  • Experience shipping/handling domestic and international materials

  • Strong understanding of controlled government property management


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ITAR, DOT, and US Customs regulations

  • Prior experience managing government-furnished material

  • SAP or equivalent ERP proficiency

  • Experience with 3PL logistics operations

  • Knowledge of DFARS, WAWF, DCMA processes, and government receiving/inspection procedures
