The Sergeant at Arms is seeking a Risk and Threat Management (RTM) Analyst. The RTM Analyst reviews information and reports on security risks, concerns, and potential threats that may impact the Senate community. The RTM Analyst concentrates on threat discovery through collection and assessment of publicly available open-source information. This role requires collaboration with law enforcement, intelligence, and force protection entities, including work in designated operations centers. The RTM Analyst liaises between the Senate Sergeant at Arms, Senate staff, and law enforcement to communicate intelligence incidents to key stakeholders for informed decision making, and to provide regular updates and applicable security support and advice regarding these incidents. The RTM Analyst supports threat mitigation strategies through a robust open-source intelligence apparatus to maintain a secure and prepared Senate community. Key Accountabilities / Essential Job Duties Review and report on security risks, concerns, and potential threats to the Senate community; provide updates and advice regarding incidents. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local and federal law enforcement, public safety, and intelligence agencies; assist with coordination of security initiatives. Lead outreach, training, and security assistance to Senators, committees, and senior Senate staff in relation to physical security and personal protection. Review publicly available information and conduct open-source research to identify trends and insights into threat and security issues. Represent the SAA during major events involving the Senate through operational security planning and on-site presence. Serve as a representative in designated Command and Operations Centers, as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required Education Bachelor’s Degree. Required Work Experience Three to five years of experience in conducting intelligence and open-source analysis, threat management, or protective services within a law enforcement, military, or federal agency. Required Special Skills / Knowledge Skills assessment may be conducted as part of the hiring process. Knowledge of protective intelligence, vulnerability assessment, and threat and security assessment processes. Knowledge of continuity and business recovery operations and emergency management. Ability to conduct open-source searches and use commercially available open-source software. Ability to develop effective working relationships with Senate staff and law enforcement and security agencies. Ability to exercise tact and discretion with sensitive issues. Ability to write executive summaries of threat and intelligence information. Ability to analyze complex issues and make actionable recommendations. Ability to develop and implement short- and long-range project plans. Ability to conduct research and prepare analyses and reports. Ability to communicate effectively. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of or experience in threat assessments and security of high-profile or government officials. Experience working across organizations or within operations centers. Self-motivated with strong written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to use discretion and diplomatically handle challenging, stressful, and sensitive situations. Working Conditions & Security

Working Conditions Onsite support when the Senate is in session; availability during government shutdowns or furloughs as required. Inclement weather, holidays, and late-night/overnight/weekend sessions may be necessary. Security Clearance Must obtain and maintain a TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship required for SAA security clearance process. Conditions of Employment
