The Payments Risk team is seeking a Strategy & Operations Associate Manager to help reduce payment abuse costs and drive solutions that safeguard the integrity of our platform. In this role, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our three core audiences—Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants—and become a key resource for analyzing behaviors that may indicate risky or abusive patterns. You’ll lead investigations into high-risk activity, design data‑informed strategies, and implement cross‑functional initiatives to mitigate losses while maintaining a seamless and trusted user experience. Most importantly, you’ll help strike the right balance between user trust and risk management, ensuring we continue to support growth while protecting the platform.

You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…

Establish and refine DoorDash's strategic approach to payments risk—work on the operations, engineering, and analytics needed to protect DoorDash’s audiences from bad actors.

Analyze user behavior across DoorDash's platform—complete end-to-end analysis that allows us to better identify the bad actors and improve the experience of good users.

Influence and engage across the company—partner with the product, engineering, and analytics teams to establish goals and build strategic programs.

Improve through experimentation—use data‑driven decision‑making to run tests in order to reduce risk while accelerating growth.

We’re Excited About You Because…

4+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business development, operations, technology, investment banking, analytics or related experience.

Experience leading projects, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment.

Strong communicator, both written and verbal.

Problem‑solving and analytical skills, including proficiency in SQL and expertise in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets/sheets).

You have a bachelor’s degree.

Must be comfortable regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment in performing job duties, including evaluating options, making informed decisions, and determining appropriate courses of action within the scope of assigned responsibilities.

We expect to fill this position by 2/7/2026.

Compensation The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within a range of $98,600—$145,000 USD, based on job‑related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, compensation includes opportunities for equity grants.
