Job Title Project Lead – Diabetes Care

Opportunity This onsite role is located in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division in Alameda, CA. The Project Lead will define, plan, coordinate, and integrate activities associated with upgrades/changes to existing products or new product launches worldwide. The role includes coordinating artwork, packaging, manufacturing, inventory management, procurement, and all other manufacturing/operations/supply chain activities. Key deliverables include project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and status reviews.

Responsibilities

Lead cross‑functional initiatives to launch new products and implement changes across global markets.

Own end‑to‑end project coordination, from change requests through implementation.

Develop and execute launch plans that meet commercial demand while minimizing excess inventory.

Prioritize and balance multiple programs, aligning resources, schedules, and business needs.

Facilitate regular project meetings with stakeholders across Artwork & Labeling, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Operations, R&D, and Commercial teams.

Document and track progress through meeting minutes, action lists, and issue logs.

Anticipate and resolve risks proactively, collaborating with functional teams.

Represent the project team in review meetings and present strategies to senior leadership.

Ensure compliance and quality system effectiveness, adhering to corporate policies.

Prepare and deliver impactful reports and presentations to leadership.

Drive continuous improvement, leveraging lessons learned to optimize future outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.

8+ years of project management experience, including 4+ years leading projects in regulated industries.

Proven ability to navigate and deliver results in large, complex organizations.

Experience leading complex projects independently, from initiation to successful completion.

Demonstrated success working with global teams across multiple time zones and cultures.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in commercialization of medical devices.

Advanced degree and/or certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma.

Compensation Base pay: $112,000.00 – $224,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary.
