Senior Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to support the design, implementation, and startup of industrial automation systems on a large-scale, high-reliability manufacturing project. This role is hands‑on and execution-focused, working closely with engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to deliver robust control systems in a regulated environment. Prior experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, or mission‑critical facilities is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design, program, and implement PLC- and HMI-based control systems supporting complex process operations.
Develop, read, and modify control documentation including logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, single-line drawings, and P&IDs.
Perform control system design and integration involving PLCs, drives, instrumentation, control panels, and industrial networks.
Program and support Allen‑Bradley PLC platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix) and/or Siemens PLCs.
Develop and modify HMI applications using FactoryTalk / PanelView or equivalent platforms.
Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and control system issues in live operating environments.
Support on‑site commissioning, system startup, and validation activities.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to meet schedule, quality, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
2+ years of hands‑on PLC programming experience with Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens platforms.
2+ years of HMI development experience (FactoryTalk / PanelView or equivalent).
Proven experience supporting control system commissioning and startup.
Must be able to do electrical drawings, panel designs, PLC programming and commissioning.
Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, instrumentation, and control architectures.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues under schedule‑driven conditions.
Preferred Experience
Experience working on regulated manufacturing or mission‑critical facilities.
Background in pharmaceutical, life sciences, chemical, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with fluid‑handling, batch, or continuous process systems.
Experience supporting long‑duration construction or retrofit projects.
