Responsibilities

Develop and execute process design deliverables for LNG projects: Design Basis documents, process flow diagrams (PFDs), Heat & Material balances (HMB), P&IDs, and process datasheets.

Perform process simulations and mass/energy balances using Aspen HYSYS or equivalent and validate results.

Working with other engineering discipline specialists, define and size major equipment (heat exchangers, vaporizers, cryogenic columns, compressors, pumps), and prepare vendor specifications and evaluation.

Support technical bid evaluations, scope reviews, and constructability reviews during procurement and construction phases.

Provide technical support during detailed design, commissioning, and startup; troubleshoot process issues on site.

Ensure compliance with LNG industry codes and standards, and client specifications.

Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering teams (mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, controls) and with vendors and contractors.

Mentor early career engineers and contribute to technical deliverables with practical, production-oriented solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.

Minimum 10 years engineering experience with LNG projects in an EPC environment (FEED and detailed design preferred).

Required Skills

Proficient with process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS preferred), Microsoft Office, and engineering drawing review.

Strong knowledge of cryogenic process technologies, two-phase flow, and LNG-specific equipment.

Practical, hands‑on approach and willingness to support site activities.

Excellent communication, documentation, and team coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.

Experience with API, ASME, NFPA, and international LNG standards.

Experience with project controls, schedule awareness, and cost‑conscious design.

Previous experience in Houston‑based EPC projects and familiarity with Gulf Coast logistics and permitting.
